The Evolt 360 Body Composition Analyzer, what we call the Intelligent Body Scanner, is a simple-to-use 60-second scan that provides detailed data about a body through more than 40 measurements. It works simply by passing a safe electrical current through the feet and hands.
The resistance to flow of the current determines the difference between muscle mass, fat mass, water and mineral — a measurement far beyond the one-size-fits-all generic BMI. All readings are specific to the individual, allowing trainers to better design a health and wellness program.
The Evolt 360 technology does not provide clients with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ generic measurement by using pre-set algorithms that do not account for unique and personalized characteristics of you as an individual.
Based on the most up-to-date scientific information relating to the BIA analysis, the use of algorithm-based measurement is key to maintaining the accuracy of measurement for each individual.
The Evolt 360 data analysis methodology that incorporates a 5-point algorithm has been developed based 100% on evidence-based data presented in the research.
There is no negation of the key point of difference in the Evolt 360 in comparison to other BIA manufacturers, rather, Evolt stands on a platform of substantiated scientific methodology that is consistent with all current evidence-based practice.
The science behind BIA is well researched and validated in peer-reviewed published literature, the most notable being –
– Gomes et al 2017 BIA of body composition
– Meleleo et al 2017 Evaluation of body composition with Bioimpedance
– Raeder et al 2018 Validity of BIA in estimation of FFM in colorectal cancer patients
– Sergi et al 2104 Assessing appendicular skeletal muscle mass with BIA
The basis of the accuracy and repeatability of BIA as a technology relies on 5 factors to ensure absolute integrity, those being –
Another important factor to consider is that there is no such thing as a direct measure of body composition other than in post-mortem by dissection of tissue.
There is no such thing as a “direct measure of body composition”.
The only way to obtain a 100% accurate measure of body composition is in post-mortem via dissection of tissue of a cadaver.
All forms of body composition measurements require the use of an algorithm, even though some companies claim they do not.
The accuracy of BIA technology, as validated in science, requires the input of five factors — height, age, weight, gender and impedance.
DEXA is the gold standard of Bone Density, not body composition.
Skin fold measurements will only detect subcutaneous fat tissue whereas BIA detects subcutaneous fat tissue and visceral fat tissue so they are incomparable measurements.
All BIA technology is validated in science as a repeatable and reliable measure of body composition.
The accuracy of BIA technology is subject to the conditions being standardized by the user (ie. same time of the day, temperature, training status, food contents & hydration status). The same applies to DEXA.
BIA technology is well respected in the scientific community as a reliable and repeatable measure to track body composition progression.
Evolt’s BIA technology uses five compartments (torso, both arms and both legs) rather than a single compartment to offer a more reliable body composition result.
UNDERSTANDING THAT HEALTHY IS NOT JUST A NUMBER
In 60 seconds, the Evolt 360 gives users a unique experience and a full report of their body composition.

We are proud to support our Evolt owners with access to our Owner’s Portal — a hub where we give you the latest content, resources and training materials to ensure you are successful with your system.
Here are some of the resources you will find:
The Evolt 360 Specialist Course has been specially designed for all staff wishing to operate the Evolt 360, Evolt Active App and Evolt Insights to their maximum potential. Get ready to be educated on the science and how the system works, while learning how to explain a scan and becoming well versed on the product as a whole.
This two-hour online course will teach your team everything it needs to know to give your business an edge. Upon completion, each team member will be an Evolt 360 Body Composition Specialist. It’s very important that the course is completed by all staff. We strongly suggest that staff members should not operate the Evolt 360 until they have completed the course and are certified.
The most unique feature of the Evolt Dashboard now allows you to run your own Challenge. The Challenge Tab allows you to create a challenge using a date range and adding members. You can then view a downloadable report which will give you automated, collated data analytics of the challenge including total kg or lbs of fat lost as a group and then a breakdown of each important metric.
The report also features individual results showing the changes made by your members. These Challenge Reports can then be used as a feature to promote future Challenges, highlighting the success rates of past Challenges.
The Challenge feature is the first of its kind and now provides businesses with the ability to automatically leader board members without the time-consuming task of manually adding and subtracting metrics.
With scans selling at $20-$50 each, this is a revenue stream that can be maximized using the Challenge facilitator on its Business dashboard. For example, 30 participants at $35 per scan (with two scans per Challenge), results in $2100 in revenue; at $50 scan, the revenue grows to $3000.
A Challenge of 100 participants can equal $7000 in revenue at $35 per scan ($10,000 at $50 per scan.)
Not only do Challenges, create an easy and fun way to create ROI with Evolt, but they are also excellent for creating engagement within a club and client base, which ultimately lowers attrition.
