Fed up with herself, Lindsey makes an amazing transformation
It was that final feeling of being ‘fed up’ with herself that changed the course of Lindsey McCroy’s life not too long ago. She wanted to feel good, wanted her confidence back, and unfortunately was in a bad place both mentally and physically.
“I knew I deserved better,” she recollected.
“At the time, I was a newly single mother of 2 and fresh out of nursing school; I’d fallen into some horrible eating and personal habits including drinking a lot and eating whatever I wanted.”
“I was very familiar with macros and working out, I knew what to do and how to do it, but was simply lacking that motivation at the time.”
It was then that Lindsey made that change, not only for herself but for her children too.
Getting Started At The Gym
Lindsey made a choice to sign up to a gym and get herself started on the way to a better version of herself. She started by lifting weights 4-5 times a week, and then doing HIIT training for 20 minutes after her weight sessions 3 days a week.
“Sometimes I made up different cardio drills or did my personal favorite, the stair stepper!” she said.
HIIT training on its own has amazing benefits, but combining them with weight sessions gave Lindsey’s workouts a whole new dimension, allowing her to work her entire body in just a short period of time.
At the same time, Lindsey took a look at her nutrition and began eating well again by incorporating protein into her diet. She began by using MyFitnessPal to track her macros and then turned to the 1stPhorm app.
“I definitely track my protein more closely now, and I don’t worry as much about fats and carbs if I stay under my calories,” she said.
And before she knew it, Lindsey started feeling better about herself both in the physical sense and mental.
The Difference In Scans
Her first Evolt 360 body scan was done on 26 March 2021 and she said after getting all her results, she loved all the different elements to keep track of her progress. Her very first scan was conducted on another machine, and the difference between the two was astronomical.
“I’ve had another type of body scan before, back in 2020, but it didn’t tell me about protein or hydration,” she said.

“I feel 200% better than I did before!” she exclaimed.
“My actual transformation started back in 2017/2018 when I was over 160 pounds, I drank heavily and ate whatever. I was in a terrible place.”
“Now I’m happy when I look in the mirror, not only physically do I look better, I’m not ashamed of the person I am or the habits I have anymore. I’m in an amazing place emotionally and mentally as well! ”
“To top it off, my anxiety levels have decreased, I have more energy, I am actually proud of myself for accomplishing this! I definitely still have further to go but I am so, so happy!”
Lindsey’s experience going from ‘fed up’ to feeling amazing about herself is an encouragement to others who are thinking about turning their lives around.
“Start today, you won’t regret it,” she said.
“Make small changes because they add up over time. Start by drinking one more bottle of water, taking an extra 10 steps here and there, eat a vegetable with one meal, track one macro.”
“I know it sounds cliché, but those little changes make it more sustainable than going all in a lot of times!”
